Kitchen interior design can be an intimidating task for the inexperienced. You might only tackle a renovation like this once or twice in your life. My clients tell me it feels scary because there’s more permanency and financial risk involved in installing cabinetry and gluing down tiles.

But selecting the finishes and fittings for your kitchen doesn’t have to be a stressful task. In this case it really does pay to hire a professional!

There are several key steps in creating your dream kitchen. And I can help you along the way! 

The first step is to decide on a layout for your kitchen. If you’re trying to minimise the budget then you might choose to keep the positioning of plumbing, gas and your oven in their existing locations. Of course, this is only going to be an option if the current layout actually works for you.

If it’s time to switch up the layout then I will work with you to devise a space that functions perfectly for how you like to operate in the kitchen.

I also specialise in selecting the finishes for your kitchen interior design project. This involves creating a moodboard to create an overall look and feel for the space. It will give you a great idea for how the kitchen will look when it’s finished. And it ensures we’re on the same page from the start.

Kitchens generally feature a number of finishes including flooring, cabinetry, benchtops, splashbacks, tapware, appliances and more! It’s important to make these decisions holistically because each will affect the next. I’m highly experienced in choosing beautiful finishes to meet your brief. Whether that’s a Hamptons, contemporary, coastal or industrial style kitchen.

After the renovation, your kitchen will also need some styling to help soften all the hard surfaces. I can also assist with sourcing the finishing touches like the perfect pendants, fruit bowls, tea towel and small appliances like the kettle and toasters. These are all significant in bringing the room to life.
