THE POP-IN
19 February, 2015
Welcome to our very first Pop-in. It’s our new regular feature where we’ll take you on a tour of some of the most lovely interiors from across the globe. We’ll also show you how you can get the look in your home. Easy Peasy! So go and make a cuppa then come back, settle in, and get ready to be inspired.
Are you back? Today we’re popping in to a gorgeous family home in California, designed by Amber Interiors. This interior perfectly blends Mid-Century Modern style (think Mad Men) and modern bohemian. We love the mix of warm timber tones, slender furniture, persian-style rugs and brillant white walls. The designers have also incorporated a beautiful, rich blue in many of the rooms through soft furnishings like cushions, bedding and rugs. The overall look is contemporary but with a nostalgic twist. Very easy-on-the-eye.
And here’s how to create this look in your home…
1. West Elm, Mid-Century TV Console $899
2. Spence and Lyda, Modernica CS Planter $240
3. Loom Rugs, Vintage Overdyed Rug POA
4. Pentland Street, Encaustic Tiles No. 6 Cinque Inn $165sqm
