Interior styling in Southern Sydney
1 July, 2019
I recently helped a young couple in Southern Sydney with the interior styling for their new apartment.
This couple are soon to be expecting a new baby so it was important that the look and feel for the interior styling was warm, cosy and very family-friendly.
When styling interiors, my first step is always to create a moodboard for the clients. This is really important because it’s a visual representation of the look and feel we’ll be going for. It’s a great way for me as the interior stylist to be on the same page as my clients.
Below is the moodboard I created for this apartment project in Southern Sydney. Family living called for a relaxed and warm take on Scandinavian style. I kept the colour palette simple and created interest through texture and subtle pattern.
Once my clients signed off on their moodboard, I was able to start sourcing and specifying the actual pieces that would go into their new home.
Have you been keeping up with me on social media? I’ve been regularly sharing some of my client moodboards to give you all a behind the scene sneak peak at the design process. Just go to the highlights tab on my Instagram stories.
If you’d like to work with me on your home, drop me an email. I’d love discuss how we might work together. I work on projects both large and small. From choosing furniture for a single room, through to selecting all the finishes and fittings for a new build or renovation.
I’ve got lots of information about the services I offer, right here on my website. Take a read and let me know if you have any questions at all.
