Winner Winner Chicken Dinner! Wow, so an amazing thing has happened. The Find it. Style it. Podcast has been named a winner at The 2017 Castaway Awards – Australia’s first awards show for podcasting! It was a BIG surprise! Held in Sydney, there were more than 200 shows that entered and our interior design and home styling podcast was named winner in the ‘industry focus’ category. Our big congratulations to Pomegranate and Teachers Education Review which were the other finalists in our category and out thanks to the judges for their listening time. This was the first time an awards show for Australia’s podcasters has been put together, so it is an even bigger honour to have won something like this for the first time.
Interiors Stylist Lauren Keenan with her trophy from the Industry Focus Category at the Castaway Awards for Podcasts
So many of us love beautiful property and enjoying our homes and our mission is to help you create a home you love, which is why we launched the podcast in 2016. Together with my Podcast Producer (and husband) Scott Keenan we talk about my work as an interiors stylist and our passion for affordable and accessible home styling for everyone. It is the first podcast in Australia dedicated to interior design and home styling. We share styling tips, info about the latest store openings, renovation and interior design trends and we talk to some of Australia’s leading experts like Aussie TV legend and garden design guru Jamie Durie, Merivale collaborator Amanda Talbot, and Mid-Century Modern buff (and radio royalty) Tim ‘Rosso’ Ross. We’re part of a big conversation in Australia about our homes, styling and renovation and the property market. The feedback from our listeners (on iTunes or their favourite podcast app) and now this award shows that people are interested in what we are about and in working with stylists for accessible and affordable home styling. Exciting! So if you haven’t heard it yet, go back and have a listen to what all the fuss is about! And if you have any ideas for who we should talk to or what we should talk about then email me lauren@finditstyleit.com.au.Lauren xo
