Choosing the right Caesarstone colour for your kitchen

26 May, 2020

Choosing a Caesarstone colour for your benchtop is a big decision. But I’ve got some tips to make the choice a lot easier for every style including industrial, coastal, luxe and Hamptons.

Caesarstone is without a doubt one of Australia’s most popular finishes for a kitchen benchtop. While real, natural stone is a beautiful option, it’s expensive and can be hard to look after. The finishes available these days with an engineered stone like Casearstone are amazing. Concrete, marble, terrazzo and more – there’s an option for every style.

I want to share with you my go-to Caesarstone colour choices for different kitchen styles.

COASTAL KITCHENS

Fresh Concrete is the perfect choice for a coastal style home. This is a matte option that feels quite textural and creamy to the touch. This colour is really versatile. When paired with white cabinetry it takes on a very light grey-beige tone. Almost more of an off-white. But then with oak-coloured kitchen cabinetry it tends to look more like a light grey. Up close and you can see small swirls of creamy white and tiny specks of darker grey. Fresh Concrete is definitely one of my personal favourites. Remember, while the matte surface will never need sealing, it does tend to show finger marks a little more easily than the more glossy options. Personally, I think this is small trade off for the beautiful finish.

INDUSTRIAL STYLE

If an industrial style kitchen is your vibe, then you have LOTS of options when it comes to choosing the perfect Caesarstone colour for your benchtop. Your first stop should be some of the concrete style finishes. Both Sleek Concrete and Raw Concrete are great options for smaller kitchens as they give an industrial look without overwhleming the space. But if you have a larger kitchen, think about incorporating a more dramatic choice like Rugged Concrete. It certainly does look like the real deal and pairs perfectly with darker cabinetry and polished concrete floors.

A LUXE HAMPTONS LOOK

Who doesn’t love a Hamptons kitchen? This is a classic, timeless look with a lovely sense of understated glamour and grandeur. When I have clients who would like this style of kitchen, I always steer them in the direction of the marble style Casearstone colour options. These include London Grey, Empira White and Statutario Maximus. Think about extending these options up into your splashback for added impact.
